IT'S A CRAZY BEAUTIFUL LIFE UPDATE
I'm going to close, as the kids are all sleeping.I need a glass of wine and my pillow! I hope to have a more thorough update soon.xoxo We are waiting for a huge winter storm to hit and get snowed in for a few days! Sawyer loves to plow with my dad, who brings him breakfast from McDonald's and lets him control the plow! We are fortunate to have my mom, grandma Betty, and Abbie take care of the kids on Saturday's.they love it, and so do the kids! We have a great system, and it's going well. It's hard because I am going almost 24 hours before I see them on the weekends, and they are essentially ready for bed when I get home. Fortunately Buffy is really helpful (and willing) to get up in the night and help out! When I get home from work, it's a quick dinner, feed the babies and then put them to bed. However, the 3 days that I am working are really hard! I average 4 hours of sleep those nights and typically one of the twins is still getting up to nurse in the night. Things are going well at work, and I enjoy being home with the kids 4 days a week. The cost of formula and diapers is not upons are my friend! I am still nursing, but not often as the twins seem to prefer a bottle. We love to watch the three of them interact! He has really become quite fond of the twins, they are "his babies." He's very protective of them, and can make them laugh in the middle of one of their fits. He loves "school," and being the typical boy won't tell me anything about it! We are still working on the potty training and he recently told me that "I'm just a little guy, I'll go potty on the big potty when I am a big boy." I am really hoping that he's ready to be a big boy soon. He is still obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and that will be the theme of his third birthday party! We started taking him to St. Sawyer is a little comedian, constantly making everyone laugh. We feel very blessed to be able to spend the holidays with our parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, etc. It was a lot of fun to see Saywer and Ellery opening gifts at my mom and dads.
Sawyer got 7 garbage trucks, and we have to take them back and forth whereever we go. Of course we did the normal running around for Christmas between Brett's family and mine, but it was amazing. We are still waiting for Ryder to sprout his first tooth! They both are doing great with solid food, Rehna especially.she is a little pig! Ryder is such a happy little guy, and Rehna is a little drama queen! She screams if Sawyer taps her slightly and Ryder laughs at the same action! We had a wonderful time celebrating their first holidays! Brett and I hosted the Newman side for Thanksgiving, but my mom did most of the cooking.
She has had 2 teeth since the beginning of December, which seems really early to me. So it's a new year, and the twins are over 6 months old already! Let's get up to speed.Rehna started rolling front to back and back to front in November, Ryder was just a few weeks behind. Wow! It's been several months since I have updated the blog! I seriously need to get better at this.
